“In sports, an athlete must anticipate, perceive, react, and execute to perform consistently. Dynavision™ D2™ and I-Span™ are the ideal training apparatus to teach athletes these critical skills. Unfortunately, most athletes fail to realize the critical relationship between the eyes and physical performance. The eyes lead the body and for this reason, visual conditioning should be a significant aspect in an athlete’s training regime.”
Joe Costa is the Director of Mind to Muscle Sports Medicine and Conditioning Facility which trains and develops Canada's elite athletes.
What is Dynavision™?
The Dynavision™ is essentially a large reaction device containing 64 lights configured in 5 nested rings. A Graphic User Interface (GUI) is situated just above the center of the training surface. The user positions in front of the height adjusted lights and reacts as quickly as possible by striking them as they turn on in random succession. It can be integrated with the GUI to flash numbers/letters and/or shapes at various speeds to train the user in multi-tasking exercises. With all of the options available it can be used in literally hundreds of different ways. Data can be saved, printed or eventually down-loaded for tracking progress and keeping records.
The Dynavision™ is employed to aid in any or all of; scanning, selection, evaluation, recovery and/or on-going training/improvement, through forced cognitive training, honing visual reaction and sensory-motor integration. It serves, Traumatic Brain-injury (TBI), Visual Field Deficit, Driver Training, Stroke Recovery, and numerous other therapeutic, neuroscientific and physiological needs.
The Dynavision™ is used in over 600 hospitals and rehabilitation centers, athletic high performance training centers, professional sports teams, and police and military forces in the USA, Canada and around the world.
